Our group of Chevalier friends and family has grown over the past five decades, but we now see those we love passing away. Our friendships become more meaningful during these times of transition.

Order of DeMolay

DeMolay has been an important part of my life since I was fourteen years old when I was initiated into the Yakima Chapter of the Order of DeMolay. The friends I made in 1961 are still friends today, over six decades later. DeMolay is an international fraternal organization for boys who may be sponsored to become members between ages 12 to 21. It was founded in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1919 and named for Jaquest DeMolay, the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar. I learned values and respect that have played an important role in my life, and I’m forever grateful to the organization and friends who walked with me during my active years in DeMoaly.

I was selected to Recive the Degree of Chevalier. I eventually became Dad Advisor of the Mount Vernon, Washington Chapter of DeMolay and was honored by being initiated into the Legion of Honor by DeMolay International.
