The St. Clairs are pioneers in Stevens County, Washington, having arrived in 1892 when Chauncey Newton St. Clair homesteaded northeast of Colville. His grandson, Chan Joseph St. Clair, Jr., was the elected Sheriff of Steven County in the 1970s and 80s. Chan married a Colville High School classmate, Sharon Rose Tedrow, in 1951. Chan and Sharon had three children: Debbie Jo St. Clair (now Deborah St. Clair Moser), Chan Joseph St. Clair, IV, and Patricia Jo St. Clair (now Patty Nelson). Debbie became a registered nurse, Chan a Washington State Patrol Trooper, and Patty an attorney. Chan, IV, still lives in the Colville.
The St. Clairs became part of the Moser family when Debbie St. Clair married Tom Moser in 1976 in Colville, Washington. Click here Deborah S. Moser for more about Debbie.
